TRAFFICKED UNDER FALSE PROMISES: NISHA SAFELY RETURNED TO SIERRA LEONE

An important intervention has just been completed — Nisha is being sent back safely to Sierra Leone.

A few days ago, VDM raised an alarm about Nisha’s situation. She was brought into Nigeria under false pretenses. She was told she was coming for an acting opportunity, only to arrive and realize the real plan was prostitution.

Thankfully, she escaped before anything happened.

This is how trafficking works. Exploitation is often disguised as help, opportunities, or connections. Most times, it is not help — it is a trap.

What makes this case even more disturbing is that this was not Nigerians being trafficked abroad — this time, a foreigner was trafficked into Nigeria. That alone shows how deep and organized these networks have become.

Nisha is now on her way home.

Her journey is from Trisco Park to Lagos, from Lagos to Ghana, and from Ghana to Sierra Leone.

The bus departed at 6:30, and she is heading back to her family safely.
