DANGOTE IS NOT A HERO — THIS IS ABOUT POWER, CONTROL, AND MONOPOLY

⚠️🔥 Nigerians Are Clapping for the Wrong Person — And It’s Dangerous

The Dangote–Farouk petroleum saga needs clarity, not hero worship.

The reason this needs to be addressed is simple: Nigerians are starting to clap for the wrong person.

Since the petroleum saga involving Farouk Ahmed and Aliko Dangote broke out, many people have suddenly crowned Dangote as a national hero — praising him for “exposing corruption” and “standing up for Nigeria.”

That narrative is dangerous.

Yes, Farouk Ahmed is corrupt. Carrying about $5.7 million abroad to pay school fees while serving in a sensitive public office is indefensible. Nigerians are right to be angry.

But let this be very clear — Dangote is not a savior.

In fact, Dangote is far more dangerous to Nigeria than Farouk Ahmed. He did not suddenly discover corruption. He has lived with it, benefited from it, and empowered it for decades.

You cannot talk about Nigerian politics — APC or PDP — without mentioning Dangote’s money. He funds politicians across party lines. If two candidates are running, he backs both sides.

That is not patriotism. That is influence insurance.

This is not about fighting corruption. This is about control.

Dangote’s refinery is massive — yes. But Nigeria cannot afford to depend on a single refinery for fuel supply. What Dangote is pushing for is the suspension of petroleum importation so marketers are forced to buy only from him.

That is not reform. That is monopoly.

Energy security requires diversity, competition, and multiple supply routes — not one man controlling fuel, pricing, and availability.

Farouk Ahmed made one fatal mistake: he tried to stand against Dangote while being corrupt himself. To confront someone like Dangote, your hands must be spotless. Corruption weakened him — and Dangote struck back.

Nigerians have seen this pattern before. Farouk Lawan was once celebrated for integrity — until a $3 million scandal destroyed him. Integrity collapses the moment corruption enters the picture.

Dangote did not rise by being neutral. He rose by aligning with power, funding power, and embedding himself into the same political system that has failed Nigeria.

APC or PDP — it does not matter. His money is everywhere.

So let no one deceive you:

• Dangote is not fighting corruption.
• Dangote is protecting influence.
• Dangote is positioning for absolute control.

Yes — Farouk Ahmed deserves condemnation. But no — Dangote does not deserve praise.

He is not Nigeria’s messiah. He is a monopolist operating in a broken system he helped build.

Clap wisely. Support accountability — not power concentration.
