FALSE ACCUSATIONS ARE DANGEROUS: WHY “SEXUAL HARASSMENT” IS NOT A WORD TO THROW AROUND

VDM has reacted to a disturbing video currently making the rounds online, raising serious concerns about how the term “sexual harassment” is being used casually — and dangerously.

According to him, while he does not know the full backstory between the two individuals, some details in the video were immediately clear. The lady obviously knew the man, even stating she had not seen him in a long time — establishing prior familiarity, not a random encounter.

However, the moment that changed everything was when she suddenly called emergency services and said:

“9-1-1, there is a man sexually harassing me.”

VDM emphasized that this statement is not a joke, not an exaggeration, and not something to be used out of anger or emotion. A single accusation like that has the power to destroy lives instantly — careers, reputations, families — especially when no evidence exists.

He pointed out that countless men have already lost everything due to false accusations made in moments of anger, manipulation, or emotional outbursts. In this case, the man involved was extremely lucky that the entire interaction was recorded.

Without video evidence, the outcome could have been catastrophic.

VDM cautioned Nigerians not to turn this into a gender war. He urged people to think deeper — about their brothers, husbands, and future sons. Supporting careless accusations today is helping to create a dangerous society where accusation alone is enough to ruin a life.

He also questioned the credibility of anyone claiming to be an “activist” while casually weaponizing words like sexual harassment. Such behavior raises serious doubts about past narratives pushed without evidence.

Demanding proof, VDM stated, is not oppression — it is justice. Before the culture of evidence, reputations were destroyed daily by bloggers and online figures chasing clout, money, or blackmail.

That culture only began to change when proof became non-negotiable. Truth survives evidence. Lies do not.

VDM made it clear that not all women behave this way — but dangerous individuals exist in every group. When accusations are abused, real victims suffer the most, because genuine cases begin to be doubted.

Words have consequences. Accusations are irreversible. Fairness must apply to everyone.
