COURT UPDATE: MORE DISTURBING DETAILS EMERGE IN TECLA MURDER CASE

VDM has provided another update from court on the case of Ediri — the man accused of killing Tecla, the sister of Justice and Prisca.

What was revealed today was even more inhumane than previously understood.

According to the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), after Tecla was killed, Ediri allegedly dismembered her body and dumped the body parts across multiple junctions.

Based on his initial confession, Ediri claimed that he pushed Tecla and then went to bed and “chilled.” This occurred on a Tuesday. On Wednesday, nothing was done. It was not until Thursday that she was taken to the hospital.

By the time he returned, her body had already stiffened. That was when he allegedly carried her body into the bathroom, dismembered it, wrapped the parts, and began dumping them at different locations — including Boote Metal Junction and Yabba Junction.

This explains why her remains could not be recovered from a single location.

As of today, witnesses have submitted their statements. The trial is still ongoing and has now been adjourned to February 18th, 2026. The team will be back in court on that date.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Justice stated that all they want is justice. He explained that before public attention, progress was extremely slow — but since the case gained visibility, developments have begun to unfold.

He also revealed that their father is still alive but suffers from high blood pressure, which has worsened because of the case. As a result, the family shields him from full details, only assuring him that the matter is progressing.

VDM emphasized once again that justice is not merely about arrest — but about ensuring the punishment matches the gravity of the crime.

The case now rests with the Nigerian justice system.
