CHRIS OKAFOR’S DAMAGE CONTROL COLLAPSES UNDER ITS OWN WEIGHT

VeryDarkMan was absolutely right to call this what it is: damage control — and poorly executed damage control at that.

What Pastor Chris Okafor did on the altar was not clarification. It was selective storytelling. And once you start picking which parts of a conversation to show and which parts to hide, you are no longer seeking truth — you are managing perception.

VDM exposed the part Pastor Chris deliberately avoided — the response he sent to the young lady. A response that included curses, denial of paternity, and outright rejection.

That single message alone destroys the entire “blackmail” narrative that was pushed from the altar.

Asking a father to pay school fees is not blackmail.
Threatening to curse a child and her mother is not fatherhood.
Calling your daughter “Satan” is not spiritual leadership.

And this is where VDM’s analysis hits hardest: contradiction.

In the same sermon, Pastor Chris said:
– “I am not perfect. I have made mistakes.”
– “I am sorry. Pray for me.”
– “I am ready to make restitution.”

Then, almost immediately, he said:
– “Everything said is not true.”
– “Most of it is lies.”

That contradiction alone raises more questions than answers.

VDM’s insistence on full context is exactly what responsible accountability looks like. If someone accuses you falsely, you show the full evidence. You don’t crop chats. You don’t dramatize from the altar. You don’t play the victim while hiding your own words.

Another key point VDM highlighted is intent. The young lady did not hide her identity. Her voice was clear. Her story was consistent. Pastor Chris recognized her immediately.

That means the issue was never “who she is” — it was what she was saying.

And instead of addressing the substance of the allegations, what we saw was:

– Spiritual language used as a shield
– Selective confession
– Emotional manipulation of church members
– Blame-shifting to “Satan”

This is exactly why VDM keeps saying the truth always survives noise. You can shout from the altar, cry, apologize halfway, deny halfway, and rally sympathy — but evidence does not disappear.
