VDM IS RIGHT TO QUESTION THE FOREIGN MINISTER — THIS STORY DOES NOT ADD UP

🇳🇬⚠️ If You Had the Intelligence — Why Didn’t You Act?

VDM questions the logic behind Nigeria’s latest security narrative.

VeryDarkMan has raised a question that every serious Nigerian should be asking — and it cannot be ignored.

According to Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the government allegedly supplied intelligence to the United States that enabled U.S. forces to strike terrorist camps inside Nigeria.

On the surface, that sounds reassuring. But once logic is applied, the explanation collapses.

If you had the intelligence… If you knew the locations… Why didn’t you act?

These are not abstract enemies. These are the same terrorists who kidnap Nigerians daily. The same ones who rape women in the bush. The same ones who force victims to give birth in captivity. The same ones who operate large camps across forests and corridors.

Nigerians are now expected to believe that:

– You knew where they were
– You had actionable intelligence
– You did nothing
– Until a foreign country acted

That explanation insults the intelligence of Nigerians.

As VDM rightly stated, this sounds like damage control.

The more realistic possibility is uncomfortable but logical: the United States likely acted independently, Nigeria was either informed late or not at all, and officials are now trying to control the narrative to avoid public panic and embarrassment.

The U.S. does not need Nigeria to tell them where terrorism exists. They have drones. They have satellites. They have long-standing surveillance across Africa.

Historically, when the U.S. carries out strikes, there is evidence: footage, confirmations, locations, and post-strike visuals.

But here? No footage. No coordinates. No confirmed camps. No visuals. Nothing.

Yet Nigerians are expected to accept vague statements and move on.

VDM is right to reject silence. Silence is how incompetence survives. Silence is how lives keep getting lost.

If the truth is uncomfortable, say it. If Nigeria was not informed, admit it. If there is loss of control, acknowledge it. If panic is the concern, explain it honestly.

Weak explanations only deepen mistrust.

Nigeria cannot move forward on lies. Insecurity cannot be solved with press statements.
