THIS EXPOSES EVERYTHING WRONG WITH NIGERIA’S SECURITY

By now, most Nigerians have seen the circulating statement attributed to Donald Trump, claiming that the United States carried out deadly airstrikes against ISIS terrorists operating in northwest Nigeria.

This is not something to joke about, reduce to cruise, or dismiss as online noise.

First, the facts as they stand:

– No official footage released
– No confirmed strike locations
– No independent verification
– No military briefing

That alone already raises serious questions.

In situations like this, governments usually react fast — denials, confirmations, press briefings, damage control.

This time?

No denial.
No confirmation.
No explanation.

That silence is loud.

The real issue is not whether the statement is true or false — it is what it exposes about Nigeria’s security architecture.

If a foreign military power can allegedly enter Nigerian airspace, conduct airstrikes, and exit without public awareness or official acknowledgment, then Nigeria is dangerously exposed.

You cannot imagine this happening in Russia.
You cannot imagine it in China.
You cannot imagine it in Iran.

But Nigeria?

The idea does not even sound impossible — and that alone is the problem.

This is why terrorists move freely.
This is why arms flow in unchecked.
This is why Boko Haram, ISIS-linked groups, and bandits operate for years.

An unsecured country is not just one where terrorists exist — it is one where borders, airspace, intelligence, and coordination are weak or compromised.

Because if foreign forces can allegedly enter and exit unnoticed, terrorists are doing far worse every single day.
