OPEN LETTER TO FCT MINISTER NYESOM WIKE: PRAISE, CRITICISM, AND A CLEAR REQUEST
🟦📍 VDM Addresses FCT Minister Nyesom Wike — Praise, Truth, and a Direct Appeal
An honest message blending acknowledgment, criticism, and purpose.
VDM has addressed the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, with a message that blends honesty, acknowledgment, criticism, and a direct appeal.
He began by apologizing for missing the Minister’s birthday on the 13th and went ahead to wish him a belated happy birthday, praying for God’s blessings upon him and his household.
VDM acknowledged a truth many Nigerians recognize but rarely say openly: despite controversies, harsh rhetoric, pride, and ego, Nyesom Wike is genuinely working in the FCT.
According to him, the Minister has:
– Opened new road networks
– Expanded existing roads
– Improved infrastructure
– Opened new areas of Abuja for housing and development
These achievements, VDM stated, cannot be denied or taken away from the Minister.
However, he also pointed out that frequent confrontations, aggressive language, and political battles often overshadow the work being done, causing many Nigerians to focus more on the noise than the results.
A DIRECT APPEAL
Beyond the birthday message and performance evaluation, VDM made an urgent request: allocation of land for the RATELS NGO.
He explained that attempts to purchase land independently have been plagued by documentation issues, ownership disputes, and the usual complications surrounding area council land. To avoid being scammed or rushed into problems, he deliberately waited.
VDM stated clearly that funds have been ready for a long time. The delay has never been about money, but about caution and doing things properly.
The purpose of the land, he emphasized, is not personal benefit — but public good: to build an NGO school and skills-acquisition center where young people can learn handwork, gain direction, and stay off the streets.
He stressed that many youths are currently idle, vulnerable, and exposed to crime and manipulation. The NGO’s mission is to provide structure, skills, and opportunity.
VDM also acknowledged that while he may not hold political power, he has earned public trust and influence — and that trust must be used responsibly to create lasting impact.
In closing, he encouraged the Minister to reduce unnecessary oppression, political hostility, and excessive confrontations, noting that if minimized, Nyesom Wike could go down as one of the most effective FCT Ministers Abuja has ever had.
The message ended with a final appeal:
The FCT needs this project.
The youth need direction.
And the Minister has the authority to make it happen.
Peace and love.
Don’t play.
